Not like the one in your image, but Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance do a couple of 'bee' soft toys. Their 8 inch bee is out of stock, but they also do a 4 inch one. It shouldn't be long before the big one is back in stock.

If the link doesn't survive, I'll send a pm.

Mine's definitely a drone. Never collects pollen, just sits there and does nothing.

If you go to the convention I've seen them on sale there in the past.
A lot of these stuffed toys are labelled as only suitable for 3 years old and over.

As I'm not under 3 (and don't know anyone who is) it's something I hadn't bothered looking for. The labels and tags are, however, still on mine.

It's CE approved. No comment about children under, or over, any age. They're imported, according to a cardboard tag, by a company called Dowman Imports Ltd, SN15 3JW. There is also a sewn-in cloth tag marked 'Dowman Soft Touch', PE28 3QT.

A Google search for PE28 3QT leads to http://www.dowman.com/index.asp

Perhaps the best way to find out if they're suitable would be through the Air Ambulance web site previously given. Failing that I'll probably see their fund-raisers at some event or other within the next few weeks. It's silly season in North Dorset, with fetes and fairs all over the place from now until autumn.

T'ornes do a few nice ones - under "Books,Education,Gifts > Toys" heading on the website

Early Learning Centre do a chiming bee - 'from birth'.

Unlike specialist toy retailers, Thornes and other examples quoted at least don't appear to be aware that the standards cover wide age ranges. You'd have to assume at least 36 months plus unless you can check it and any 'from birth' label yourself. Anything for 0-3 is assumed to be put in the mouth, so food grade materials, washable and no small parts or appendages that could be choked on.

Not that the labels were around when we were young, but "them's the rules" I was told when the nursery were throwing stuff out.
