Watched my bees remove a couple of adult bees from the hive....between 4 and 6 of them dragging them out...one managed to force them all back in before eventually being pulled out and dumped.

Found it strange and don't think it was robbing.

Took off hive roof to look in and see how things looked in the super...have a clear plastic cover on and hive is undergoing MAQS treatment.

Could hear what I can only describe as a sort of drumming sound....like wings being beaten off the wall or some other surface....went on for about 15 secs, stopped and then started again.

I listened to this for about 5 minutes but no idea what is /was going on.

Got the missus out to have a listen and thought I would try and record it but has stopped now.

Has anyone else experienced this?

What a coincidence, I heard very similar today. It sounded like wind was catching the clear cover of the poly nuc and causing it to rattle (the nuc was shut). Very short in duration and was repeated within a few seconds. My wife heard it first so we took the roof off the nuc to look. All was calm inside, they weren't due inspecting so left them to it. Very odd though, it was really quite loud.

No but now I have this image of Phil Collins face superimposed on thousands of bees.
