Strange behavior

Saw something similar when I hived my cast, groups of bees were sat on the landing board, I got the impression that they were feeding each other at least thats what it looked like to me.

Lots of antenna activity so probably " scenting " each other out. Might be indulging in "tropholaxis" - exchange of "food".

if you have a pair of guard bees on the landing board you can see them do what looks like a "double high five" each time they meet head on.

:iagree:It's quite funny when one or both of them eject an undesireable and they do the high five. Reminds me of "WE ARE THE MANAGEMENT" Hale and Pace Show
