Spin drier

I have the opportunity to buy an old but working spin drier.
I know this can be used to spin cappings (not expecting much honey this year) but wonder if it will be any use to mix sugar?

Yes i know buti am sure last year Hivemaker described how he mixed sugar with a modified spinner. Can't find the thread. My memory may be incorrect though.

I converted a spin dryer for spinning cappungs and heather honey but to be honest I not sed it once. It was a nightmare to clean, any metal reacted with honey, it was just too much effort. After a further nine years of not using it I took it down the tip!!

Why not put the cappings in a bag in the extractor instead?
