One of the reasons as soon as the wife qualifies we will reopen the application for Canadian Citizenship, PROPER winters just like Finman & Random.
None of this Damp, soggy, dull, mild nonsense we get here these days.

Finman that is NOT propper snow!!!!!

I still see people driving car, walking around and just generally getting on with things!!!

PROPPER snow stoppes you doing ALL of the above.

Like the snow we get in England, about 5mm deap and slightly wet, that will bring a whole country to a stop.

You see we English do things propperley:patriot:

That made you invent steam engine, railway what ever. You are so lazy gang.

50% of Finnish people lived on country side 1950 -decade.
Our cars were so weak that we did not ploughed rural ways.
Horses walked along the snow and pulled sledge.

- If someone had a horse. I think that most did not had such one.
The horse needed hay and 20% of our fields produced "horse fuel".

There is a lot to be said about the older ways of transportation, i would love to have a go on a sleigh, or being pulled by husky like the inuit

.
Norway's, Swedish and Finnish Lapland has been same population area.
They have not used dogs in tranportation. It is reindeer which have carried and pulled heavy things on the bag or in the sledge.

Dogs have been used shepherds of reindeers.

You need to stop showing photos of snow! You know that Frisbee and I get over excited don't you and get into the knees bent weight forward pose we adopt on the pistes. So hard to keep typing!!!!

Wind and rain is icy, but it has made all the snow melt. Shame.
