Hi All, Can anyone tell me where to get a box for keeping a smoker safe in the car. I have experience the 'kipper effect' on a couple of occasions last year and SWMBO has told me to spend my birthday money on one

I have an old fashioned steel breadbox for mine. It works and only cost £2 from a flea market. Abelo have purpose built smoker boxes for £35.

Abelo sell them, as used by Bee inspectors. Good but pricey, tall enough for a Dadant 10" smoker.

Or, use one of these:

Available from many suppliers, perhaps cheaper than the above.
They will take two standard size smokers side by side at a squeeze. Try to get one with a metal handle, but if it is plastic just put a small cooking tray under the lid to protect it from the hot smoker(s). Check the dimensions first as there may be some makes that are too small.

I wrap mine in an old towel - works a treat.
