4. Experimenting with Warres after 30 years of Nationals
I'm moving house from country into town in under 2 weeks. I have made the difficult decision to sell up after many years of hobby beekeeping. There are just too many obstacles for me to continue keeping bees.

Hives with bees -thriving colonies:
3 x Nationals - (Floor, brood, plastic excluder, super, top board roof)
1 x Trough top bar (3 foot 'Barefoot Beekeeper' type, built in 2011)

Other National equipment:
3 Brood boxes
6 Supers
All with frames, many with drawn comb.
Snelgrove board
Odd floors, roofs boards excluders, frames, spacers, etc.
Old Taylor extractor

Stainless smoker

Most National kit is old or even vintage, but the bees don't seem to mind, and continue to do well in it.

Location: About 10 miles from Bristol, and 10 Miles from Bath.

If I had more time I would gladly split, but I really need to sell the whole lot together since time is very short and I have much else to do.
If you need any further information give me a call on 07942984455 or send a PM.
I welcome sensible offers. Call and have a look.

Regards

Terry

I must sell and the clock is ticking. The only proper offer I have received so far is £250.
Any advance on £250 folks?
Note. All must be collected by next Thursday 4th July.

Thanks

Terry

Tell us some more about the extractor - surely its either worth nothing or a fair bit?

Now that uploaded pix are possible, some photos might get you some serious interest.

More info

The answers to the questions are:

1. It's an old Taylor extractor, handle driven, with a square wire basket which will take 4 deep or 4 super frames, or just 2 if you wish. The drum is galvanised, but was painted out with food-safe white enamel some years back.

2. All the items are still here for sale.

Here are some photos as suggested. I'm having problems inserting images, so have linked to them instead.

Sorry for the delay in replying, I'm preparing to move and have much to do.

Gone

My bees and equipment have now all gone.

After some 30 years, I am no longer a beekeeper, and I feel rather sad.

Good luck Oli.

I'm glad you are sorted in time. Enjoy your new beginning. You can now have the dreams about,'If I were to start beekeeping again i would start on xxx hives with xxx frames using xxx bees'.

Y'know, it wouldn't surprise me if you came back to it. :) Be seeing you!
