Hi!

I would like to ask You one question.

This year i started my beekeeping story.
I live near to Loondon ( sometimes i travel to Leeds ) and i have some of bee product to sell. Most of them is bee pollen. Can anyone help me and write adres or telefon number to something like " bee products buying center" I can't find anithing like that.

Sorry for my English im still learning!

Th guys!

Thanks for your answer.
I really don't know how those places are called in england. In Poland we have got something like big campanes with are interested in buing bee products. They are not prived beekeepers more like big corporations.

Im asking becouse i dont have many frends here who are interested in buy my products. I have to find place where I can sell them.

Pollen is an unusual bee product in England.

Partly because the bees don't usually have a great surplus - and partly because there is no market for it here (or not much of one).
My understanding is that the (imported) 'pollen' sold in some health food shops is freeze-dried for preservation. Which isn't easy for 'hobby' quantities.

Some beekeepers buy it for spring feeding - BUT - they should only buy it from a disinfected (nuclear irradiated) source. Otherwise there is the risk of spreading bee diseases. Hence those buying spring feeds generally buy their real pollen ready-made into certified-irradiated patties.

How is it that you have a pollen harvest, not a honey harvest?

Hi

I do have honey harvest but its much more easier to sell/use. I sold some of my honey do my English friends, also to people from my work and so. In Poland pollen is really popular and its also expensive. I mean 100 % natural pollen not this one in pills.. I saw that people are traing so sell it on e-bey. Maybe i should try ?? My pollen is really nice i 100 % natural. You can look the photo:

It's hard for me to tray sell it in town or places like this. I thought here are also places where they are buying bee stuff maybe cheaper but they buy it.

I would suggest you try some of your local independent health food shops in London.

but depending on quantity you could try selling to Infinity foods (wholesale) they are shoreham by sea http://www.infinityfoodswholesale.co.uk/

or maybe as they are more local to you community foods http://www.communityfoods.co.uk/

both are organic/wholefood wholesalers, they might want you to package it better, and you will need to supply them with hygiene certificates and things but give them a call and see what they say.

doug.

there is a big market for this, there is a company near me in sussex that buys over a ton per year from china to sell in wholefood shops.

so why not simply set up something so you send it back home for sale

to send 15 lb cost 40 punts it's not worth it;/

dpearce4 could You give me www adress or telephone number to this company ??

Thanks for answers guys !
