Sure this is normal bit was bigger than i was exspecting, do all drone cells look like this?

It looks pretty normal to me. I wouldn't worry if I were you. There will be plenty of other things to worry about in future inspections

Yep, I have some standard brrod frames in a 14x12 box (due to the supplier of my first NUC not being able to give me a 14x12). This has resulted in the bees using three of the short frames to house nothing but Drone brood (hanging underneath). A lot of the cells look like the one in your pic (and they made a good sample of brood to check for varroa)

Looks like a double yolker!................tis when they ALL look like that you should start to worry!!
