Holding off on the supers,, but I’m down in Kent. Closer to Belgium than London!

Waiting to see what the situation is in a couple of weeks.
Lots of snowdrops, Daffs, and some more small flowers about.
Some pollen being collected

You having some sort of heatwave in Kent?? I’m in West Sussex and the bees will be collecting pollen to rear brood now but there’s not a lot of nectar about and certainly not enough of a flow to think about supers yet.

8 frames/seams of bees is vastly different from 8 frames of brood, 8 seams isn't a precursor for supering as winter bee die off is also still yet to come.
Once brooding starts in earnest then stores will disappear.

:iagree:
And brood on 8 frames is not the same as 8 frames of brood

Then I shall bide my time…
Guess I’m over eager to hit the first year running!!
But it is warm.. saying that I’m from the north so anything above 8degrees is tropical for me in the south..
