Hello. Looking for a bit advice on refractometer's.
Looking to buy one and most look the same so is there any advice on which one to buy?. Cheers

Basically, make sure it is a honey one. When you get it take a reading with olive oil and keep some of that oil with reading on it. That is what you use to calibrate it if needed in the future. I found the cheap ones from China work as well as expensive ones from thornes.

I have been using one from my wine/beer making days which works fine and never had an issue. If you buy with care Fleabay may be of help and are the same as the ones selling for much more by some retailers.

I have three. Two are for wine musts (or wines) and the one for honey has a completely different range. The two are for 0-10% and 0-20% solids and the honey one is for 70-90% silids, I think.

If you buy a wide range one, good luck reading it to better than 3%!

Yeah I was having a look at these ones and it's probably the one I'll buy. Cheers
