I read that Ireland has the most pure Amm bees on globe.
I read too, that Ireland has average yield 10 kg per hive.

I just wonder that kind of breeding.
I bought an Italian queen once. The whole hive was full of bees and brood. Enormous population. Stunning. They didn't ever produce any excess honey but I had to keep feeding them to keep up with their needs. In the end I was too late to feed and they all died. Yield when alive, 0kg and yield since, 0kg. I was probably doing something wrong (not enough food for a start), but I wondered about that kind of breeding too.

Yields do vary and last year I only ended up with two viable production colonies after my two DLQ colonies and two CBPV's. Those remaining two did very well and between them produced a 178kg harvest , spring was especially good.
Biggest thing in the yield is pastures.

The same hive can catch easily 3 times more honey from another oadture. And even 5 times more.

But bees cannot store 100 kg honey into 3 langstroth box. Nectar needs to dry up 2 boxes to fill the third box woth rippen honey. And where to put the brood
