Well what do you expect, you have to show your face a few times to be recognised. Even worse for us gels, turn up in a pub alone and they all think you've been stood up or you're up to no good.
Try sitting in the corner reading a paper looking utterly disinterested and going 'bzzzzz' occasionally? Might work.
