The regs say you must be traceable. I put postcode and house number on and to test this, I posted myself a letter with just my postcode and house number on. It went thro the system and came back to me..... Ta daaa. I have my proof.

I used to work for a major courier company and can confirm that we only needed a house number/name and a postcode, not only to deliver but also for parcel to go right through the system.
