I got froze out during winter. I had pollen patties I put in during winter. I purchased package bees to replace. I added sugar syrup also to them. Is it a bad thing to do, take on of them out.

Sometimes, a winter cluster can become separated from the food and starve out (especially if they have a patch of brood which they will not leave). If you are sure that these combs contained no disease, its ok to reuse them as food for another colony.
