Insulation's a no-brainer for me - and I'm several hundred miles further south than most of you...
 
Insulation's a no-brainer for me -


I agree with Luminos on this. I use 50mm KS with cut out that takes Chinese take away containers with fondant. Oh and no melting of snow on the roofs.
 
Using insulation all year round makes sense to me because it keeps the internal temperature more stable.
 
I've googled kingspan (I've only ever heard of it on this forum). They do a number of insulation products. I'd feel a bit of a fool walking into a builder's merchant asking for some kingspan to insulate my hives. What exactly should I look for, and what sort of size/quantity does it come in?


Ask on freecycle.

We got a boot full from someone. All offcuts.
