Not my choice of colour but here is Village Girls new hive made by her brother and painted by myself. 50 year old roof given by Tonybloke.

I prefer mine done in Osmo UV protection oil. Yep Kevin Village's brother done a good job. Need to rub down the tin and it will be good for another 50.

that stand is not strong enough. the weight is on the sides, not on the legs. put another piece of wood on the inside of each corner (3" x 3"), is my advice.

Maybe with a bit of railway iron - just for reinforcement?

I am liking the pink hive Village Girl. Sure the bees will too. They will see their home from a long way off and on the plus side it may be less likely to get nicked. (unless thieves like pink). Hope you are feeling better as I read on another thread you not too well.

thank you i'm on the mend and the pink hive makes me smile every time i see it, and i did think it would be verry easy to identifie by bees and police lol
