hi
noticed over the last few weeks pinkish/red blotches on the insepection board.

uploaded pic ( top left corner).

Any ideas ?

Thanks

You don't use matchsticks do you could be the head of the matchstick .

Nowt wrong with leaving your inspection boards in for winter . I suppose if you've solid floors there wouldn't be any inspection boards.

If you think it's something other than mould, it could be Gorse pollen if your bees have had flying weather and you've gorse nearby.

CVB

P.S. agree with comments about the state of your monitoring board - could do with a clean. I have marked a square grid on my boards - it makes counting mites easier. No problems with it being in during the winter though, provided there's a little bit of ventilation near it.

I thought gorse pollen was more of a "yellow ochre" or brownish colour ??

It is.
Judging by the state of that board, it could even be some sort of pigment leaching into the paint from the board. I'd bin it and replace with a piece of correx.

I've had the same problems with mold on ply inspection boards ,
There an abomination ! Swell up not the easiest to clean they've been replaced with nockdietion signs... or as Steve said some correx , now there really easy to remove/ clean .

When cleaning hot soapy water and a tea towel to dry them before you put them back.

Shake the earwigs our first

Our correx conservatory roof was removed frequently by the suppliers to blow all the B flies out with an airline and then "resealed" and reinstalled. It's now DG glass, we got sick of the issue.
