a few more than last year but still not enough
Could any members please donate pictures of the different hive types available.

Im looking for nice quality pics of the different types of hives in use in the uk, preferably with bees entering the hive, plus pictures of the insides (frames). I would like to use these for the local BKA website I manage. I will make sure the pictures are quoted to the person donating them to me.

yep happy to include your hives derek. some info about them to go on the site with a link to a website if you have built one or your email so people can get further info if they want.

not worried about copyright, your welcome to them

the queen catcher is mann lake, have two of them, wouldn't use anything else now

I like the hive identifiers marked in bee-friendly colours on the walls behind the hives. Did they say if it really does reduce drifting in colonies that are so far apart?

They are the entrances to the observation hives inside the building, the one behind the beekeeper is not in use as its sealed.

Thanks. Now that you've mentioned it I can see the wooden plug closing the entrance.
