Two reasons for NOT;

Don't want to damage HM, by holding too tight or clipping a leg.

Don't want to be too relaxed about swarming, ("oh it'll be ok cos they won't go too far if they swarm).

I would not pass these bees onto anyone else, they are nasty bees.
