Just gone to re-liquify a batch of liquid Honey that had set in 227g jars and discovered it's now one of the best softset I have ever produce . Smooth and realy tasty; slight frosting.

It was from a batch that was not heated once jarred. Jars from the same batch heat treated after jarring are still liquid!

I am in the process of trying to make a soft set seed to apply to a warmed bucket of Spring honey. It took an age with a pestle and mortar to get a tablespoon to the consistency I wanted. I added quarter of a jar of liquid honey to it, and wait for it to set, then add that to another jar and so on until there is another to set the bucket. I must remember to save some as it has been a right faff.

three pounds to a 30lb bucket is a good ratio

Has anybody found that keeping soft set back to act as a seed works two or three times but after that the honey starts to get grainy?

All my honey from last year is still liquid, just unheard of here with so many brassica plants around. It really is the best and most consistent honey I have ever had in forty plus years. I wish I had bothered to show it!
