This is really pathetic and as it happens I don't think anybody won.

At least one of the "contestants" wasn't even aware it was a competition. Hopefully people are now aware that cheap jars are available all year round and from a variety of sources and in all the different sizes and amounts.
Worth clubbing together if there are three or four of you and sharing an order if the £200 minimum order free delivery option is too much for one, or the trip to North Yorkshire is too far for the smaller amounts.
Compak confirmed they will deliver smaller quantities but these will incur a £10 delivery charge.

Got to hold my hand up and say the prices and delivery charges for Compak jars I gave are now out of date .
They have put their prices up since our last order (and no it wasn't in 1901 ). We had a delivery today and the cost of jars plus lids is the following (including VAT).
8oz hex + lid =23.5p
12oz hex +lid= 27p

They have also changed their minimum free delivery charge to £250.

Please feel free to be as snide as you like. I know some of you won't be able to resist.
