Came across this article which which showed a 50% drop in nosema numbers & increased winter survival after a couple of autumn OA dribbles. May not work with OA vap?
Effect of oxalic acid on Nosema ceranae infection.
Nanetti A, et al. Res Vet Sci. 2015.[/QUOTE- abstract only.

Those using a winter OA dribble may have an advantage over those using OA vap in getting nosema numbers down?

Not if they thymolise their feed - which is another method Nanetti reccomends

Perhaps the combined thymol feed & OA is the best pre-winter treatment of both varroa & nosema.
It would be useful to know if OA vap also dropped nosema numbers but its mechanism of action is different to an OA dribble.

.

That's what I did successfully last year, and I'm in the process of doing this year.

Although the Oxalic acid will be sublimated, not dribbled.
