Does anyone know what the volume by measurement would be the correct dose of oxalic acid for one litre of syrup. ie 35g weight. Has anyone done this by volume rather than weight?
Thanks
Steven

.
when you have a balance, weigh a proper amount of syrup.

200 g 50% syrup has volume 160 ml

Any crystalline substance is going to vary if you measure it by volume. it depends on how it was prepared which changes the mix of crystal sizes and how much it has been shaken or compressed in transit. Weighing is easier and with modern digital scales far more accurate.

With such small amount volume/volume measurement would be to inaccurate unless making up very large volumes and also probably prone to error due to different crystal size of different supplies.
Buy some scales or buy some already made up.

Thanks... will get scales, best all answer.
