Newbie Daft Question No1

I had 6 hives with insulation during winter and just one without. All doing well at the moment and have had to do one AS already. Three hive have a lot of bees very little room left on the frames so I have supered. I think with frosts this time of year they tend to be just in the night and the daytime temperatures go mostly over into double numbers so I am not concerned about insulation. If they have stores and are out most days collecting, personally I think they will manage. Time will tell and I may be proved to be wrong.
