Hi

I am going to run Swinty poly hives next year.
There entrances are a thin slot, dose anyone know if these are mouse proof or do I have to still pin a mouse guard over the top?

I think i may have trouble doing so as the landing ramp is integrated into the floor.

If anyone runs these let me know what you do.

Thanks.

The slots are mouse proof as far as I know.

Never had a mouse get in yet. (30 odd x 10 years)

My nucs are another matter as I made the entrances and they are going to get mouse guards on them over the next week.

Thats great news Poly Hive

Thanks.

I wasn't sure last year so I pinned one on anyway - its a little bit more hassle to do, but I guess there's no harm in doing so, compared to the massive damage that might result if a mouse could get in...

But good to know that they're probably fine without!
