Mast year

Yes 2020 was a mast year here.
Oak and Beech. The Beech trees were alive with buzzing things when it was in flower and rained mast in the autumn.
Our oak trees had their boughs bent right down to the ground by the acorns and the bees were on the flowers.
We have two very old Beech trees in the garden and this year there is hardly a nut on either of them….. thank goodness
