On way to Tesco I saw Blackthorn was out. There is loads of it round my apiary, but none out yet as it is more exposed

It's in the aisle next to the hawthorn
I think Millet's are Anemone blanda or Windflower. I've had blue and white in the past, and I believe that there is a pink version, too....Just realised..I have a lot of Japanese anemone...but yours looks very different..

I'm thinking the blue might work Bontbee. .I'll look them up...
Mostly the area I'm looking at is lesser celandine and buttercup....bit bare at this time of year so something pretty would be nice!!...
Nice picture .. out of the few hundred i planted only half have survived the voles this year but to date like i mentioned the bees here ignore them..maybe they have found something better.. ? .I grow grape hyacynths in my garden and the bees work them avidly for both pollen and nectar. A tiny few are coming into flower now but this photo is from a previous year. At the moment the main flowers being visited are Hellabores
Regarding bulbs you need to do very little preparation as long as the soil is well drained, it is basically just a case of digging a turf out, plant several bulb at the required depth/ distance apart and stick the turf back over them it really is that simple.I'm loving them all....my apiary is a wild patch as I put it...but would like to pretty it up with natives...I'm not an exacting gardener however....I strim paths in the area a few times a year and hack away the old buddleia...
They'll be planted in amongst buttercup celandine and other such. ..
do I have to do much prep of the ground or will boring a fews holes here and there work??..
I like things that look after themselves..
