I’m in th process of refurbing a Langstroth jumbo. No knowledge of them so a bit blind. New frames arrived and side stems without a channel for foundation. Is this normal

I run Lang jumbos. Wiring is essential. I glue and nail frames.. much stronger..

A full jumbo broodbox is for the strong - start doing yoga back exercises(I am serious)

.
When waxing the frame it is important to leave 10 mm gap between lower bar and wax. Otherwise the comb makes a wave when wax enlarges in the heat of the hive.
