Chickens and turkeys are omnivorous, and crocs and alligators pure carnivore and they are farmed for meat.

I see the craft fox (jbg) has gone to earth. this is meant as a joke why has he changed his location from North to Earth?

I thought you had me on ignore mike? Now youre even looking at my profile page? Anyway Lol, bears are eaten in alaska at least the black bears are, spiders ,scorpions are in some countries, herbivores & omnivores are eaten more because they have always been easier to hunt & also to farm. Since the days of the caveman weve eaten things that were easy to hunt, in the grand scheme of thjngs its only recently people have used guns so they can kill predators easier & from a distance, even calling it sport? When the animal usually has no idea its about to be killed , sport?

Ah, so by that statement you support hunting foxes with hounds - the intention of causing its demise being well and truly advertised before its final and sudden death

Not just guns. Arrow were used for centuries as were nets.

William II
Psalm 124:7
Esau

Then there's fishing. Very biblical. Many fish are carnivores.

?? Er, no, where have i said or even insinuated that?

Well you onviously have an issue with an animal being killed without being aware of the fact it was going to happen or you wouldn't have made that ridiculous comment about rifles - only surprise was you didn't use the phrase 'high powered'

I was curious why so many of you recent posts had been removed by Admin. No doubt it was for inappropriate replies.

Can I suggest you take on board the comment made by I believe Paragyl, you accepted his comments and by taking on his recommendations you will get less adverse feedback from your posts

Lol, no not a problem i just dont see the sport in shooting something from a distance that doesnt know youre there so doesnt really have a chance. I thought the term " sporting chance" meant just that? With "high powered " rifles, telescopic sights HV bullets, the only chance they have is that they might escape maimed rather than killed by a bad shot. Not sporting really is it? If killed for a reason with no choice, ok mayb , but certainly not sport.
Put one of you in a field with a male lion & a knife in the middle of the field, now thats a sport i would pay to watch.:icon_204-2:

Since when has this discussion been about "sport" ???

I thought it was about protecting livestock.
