A quick update on those little black buggers (Mountain Bee) - translated from Afrikaans...
We opened up those 10 colonies recently moved into the river valley... Those agro ones !
Placed supers, scratched, prodded, bumped etc etc etc.... Out of those 10 colonies, 8 of them have a high "black count" with 5 of them well known to chase down and sting. If 5 bees hit my vail the entire time it was a lot..... I only had one single bee intent on doing me harm....
The same little girl followed from one box to the next and then to our vehicle,,,, then ensured we had to get in and drive suited up as she was coming along for the ride.... Tap tap tap on the face for the next few km's.... eventually finding the open window....
Just like that, babies again..... As you said JBM - watch out because things can change FAST !
Geeees, these girls can make honey though....... Busy Bees!
