Possibly...5 and a bit...depends on the bees.
An awful week of no internet....no forums...no films....no tv catchup.....no research...no kindle....I was even reduced to reading a book!
Then I remembered I could use my phone....tried to log in but couldn't remember my password...so I had to use an old log in.....from when I logged out by mistake.
Did you miss me? Using a phone is horrible.....you keep having to make the screen bigger...then you can't see what you are doing...the typing is dreadful as the letters are so small and you end up pressing the wrong letters!
Still it was lovely to just be able to read the posts for a while.....
....so who couldn't resist checking out who I was?

Is there a prize for finding your alter ego? Bees maybe?

....apparently.....the internet provider said they phoned us...no one recalls the message.....they said the bill was unpaid...but as it was on dd...find that hard to believe...now all sorted by my son in law.
No I wasn't banned....nor was I on the naughty step.....I'm a good girl...I am...so stop the rumour.
My Bee Yard looks like a tip. Beehaus slowly moving into designated places. OH has got the palings for the fencing...so hopefully work will commence. Having made lots of dire warnings about bees flying as soon as the weather improves....he is bound to get stung whilst putting them up. Perhaps I will insist he wears a veil.
I have one colony which is slow to build up...it has plenty of stores. I've been thinking about doing a treatment for nosema...there is a bit of bee poo at the entrance but not noticibly on the frames. They were treated last autumn with Hivemakers recipe. Ideas anyone?

Squash a few bees and see

Arrgh....squash bees! Ugg. I'll try tomorrow....but you might have to come and do the dirty deed. Can I freeze them instead?

You'll have to do better than that if you are going to hide... there can't be that many beekeepers in Glamorgan with Long hives and a bee yard ???

Well. I didn't really try to hide. I didn't think about it until too late....I could have said I used only plastic hives....and have made sweeping statements about how to look after bees.....and only used imported queens....and talked about a newly invented hives....and sometimes got it right.
Oh...that is me...need a better disguise!

I doubt it. When you see what sort of microscopic creepy crawlies there are crawling around the floor of a beehive you'll start having nightmares!:sos::hairpull:

I can imagine! I once looked at what lived on our bodies...had nightmares for weeks.
I will give it a go...it's the killing bit which is horrid.

If that's aimed at me you might have quite a wait. I'm stuck on train to Paddington cos the train in front hit someone. Police called as its a fatality and I'm stuck here for foreseeable future. At least free wifi even if my feet are freezing and I'm starving.

That's awful! So sad for the family.
Don't they have a restaurant car? Or a snack wagon?
You should have stayed at home...then you could have come to squish my bees.

Never fear. Over an hours delay so I get my fare refunded. The joke is its not even the train I booked. That one got cancelled due to a breakdown in the tunnels under the Severn.
My daughter best appreciate this visit from her mama!

I have received mixed information about Nosema, is it a disease, or simply a build up of the bees being unable to deficate for long period of time. I have received different information depending on what I've read or who I've spoke to.

Reading the wrong books or talking to the wrong people then ... There is no mixed information ...

Nosema is a microsporidian parasite (effectively a disease) - two varieties Ceranae and Apis ... similar but different.

Plenty of information about them if you do a Google search or read some decent bee books.
