Nice bit of local knowledge, I'm impressed !! I have no idea garlic wise though, I wouldn't have thought it would interfere. I only ask as I grew up on the island and don't particularly remember seeing any hives but there must be some there, plenty of greenery for them :)

Anybody keeping bees over there ?

If you go to the Community Tab and search members and then hit advanced search you can put in Isle of Wight as a location - 39 members listed there:

What you will then have to do is look at their recent statistics and see when they were last present on the forum ... after that - if you REALLY want to be sociable (unlike some of us grumpy antisocial stay at homes) you could PM them ...

It's not all true what they say about people who were born and live on the IOW - only a few have six fingers ...on each hand.

Hello, yes I'm a true islander. Sorry everyone, not been active at all after life **** on me but bouncing back now and sure to cause chaos, given a chance lol..
I still got bees , just about managed to keep them going and hoping to carry on where I left off this season.
Nice to see some old faces..... And some not so haha

Glad to hear your back.

Thank you...I ended up in hospital due to lack of care whilst tending to bees ,at one point I just didn't seen to give a dam, so it was my own fault I got stung so much.

Is St Mary's off black alert now?

All in-laws from IOW. I could say high six to you if I wasn't an overner

Cant get the venom out of your blood once it gets a hold ... good to see you back again ... not much has changed - off season arguments are as 'entertaining' as ever but no recent bannings !! Hope you get out from under the pile of **** ...
