I have a gut feeling that it is true, a friend of mine used Manuka Honey on a dog of hers that a bad vet messed up, it was a big gaping hole in the dogs chest (barb wire accident) that was badly infected and swollen with nearly all the stitches pulled out, after applying the honey the infection went and the wound cleanly healed up, the chemicals that the bees use within themselves to refine that nectar to honey surely have medicinal properties for us and animals alike.

Just the sort of wound you NEVER suture.
Good job he had the honey......

I don't doubt the healing properties of honey externally Millet. It's just that some of the other claims seem a little vague in their origin scientifically. To be fair I have only just done a very quick search for any papers by this Dr. Stoimir and not come up with anything, but perhaps Finman may 'come up trumps' as he seems good at finding this kind of information. (Perhaps I'm just a bit carp at googling! :D) Still time may tell. Overall though a good site to take a look at, especially being fairly new.:)

Edit!! Finman has just beat me to the line on this. I agree with the blood pressure thing. I may also add that cholesterol is produced from sugars during 34 stages. The doctors that give you sheets about not eating fat are way behind! (Still the advisory sheet they give you is sponsored by corporate food giants. Not that I'm sceptical you understand)

Mefical doctors study 7 years in Finland to take care about people.
And then one guy feels in his gut? Fart or what?

My blood vessel bursted in head 2003 for high blood pressure. One doctor told to me a year before, what will happen if I do not take care of medicine. I did not, and so it happened.

My boy is a bone surgeon, and he has studied for that 7+7 years.

If blood vessel bursts inside brain mass, there will be allways paralysis or death.

Look at British death statistics, what you see there

It is enough to say that honey has multiple beneficial effect, while sintetic drug is made with single target and mostly with other side effects.
When use more than 2-3 synthetic drugs at same time you are in danger of having complications with your health..
Now you will say I sound as in conspiracy theories..
It is interesting that our honey has just 2-3% less bactericidal effect than manuka honey..
Also people who have diabetes consume honey with more fructosis than glucosis ( of course with supervision of doctor) and is beneficial..
Usage of honey with proven results are numerous.. Burns, tissue damages, even nose drops..

At least if you use long time enough honey, you get dementia.

But in Finland the most common reason to die in over 75 years old group is falling down at home. You hit your head onto desk edge and your neck will break.

As long as a person is healthy, it is same how he heals himself. But after 50 years many serious things emerge. And good heavens, do not try to heal them with honey!!!!

As one of the pioneers in Apitherapy were Romania and Bulgaria. As I learned from my mentor and some other friends beeks Dr. Stojmir Mladenov is respected name in Apitherapy..
But if I mention at my place that there is one beekeeper with excellent practice such Michael Palmer ( I hope Mr. Palmer won't take me harm for mentioning him), 99,99% beeks at my place would say.. Who knows who is he, some non existing person from internet or what one American knows aobut beekeeping..
Now when I mentioned Mr. Palmer, I remembered Mr. Charles Mraz, maybe closer comparation would be?

Scientifically proven honey to accelerates angiogenesis and epithelisation. Clears the wounds.. Reduced scars afterwards. Synthetic drugs in that are no match.

So if someone tell the honey is just a plain sugar.. Sad..

Honey is 75% Sugar.

As you know, European Union has forbidden to advertise honey as healthy stuff, if there is no scientifc proves about named things, what you are going to heal.

So you put honey into open would. Have you read how much honey had living microbia, like yeast and bacteria.

My favorit stuff is jodide and Bacibact antibiot greese.

I do not recommend anyone to put honey into wounds.

.
Angiogenesis = formation of new blood vessels.

Epethelization = growth of new epithel ...

Well. Those happens just without honey. I should be full of blood vessels and epithel if that is true.

My surgeon boy told that plastic surgeons' most common job is to clean and tidy up bad wounds. You think, that honey substitute the plastic surgeons?
