Feeding

Finished feeding my ladies last week - took 10.5 Kgs sugar in 2:1 and would have taken more but I stopped when the hives reached 40Kgs each. Very concerned that the late flow has not happened but I now have hope that they are set for the winter but will keep monitoring weight as may require fondant later on. Buddies have said that their bees are not coping well and I have suggested feeding as an urgent requirement - not helped by MAQS strips that some of my mates have used and regretted due to brood and queen loss.
Hives are both 14x12 and sat on top of a super with honey in to take up.
I'm on apistan strips as I wanted to wait till the camp is in on MAQS and the strips worked well last year.
