to lighten the heart of the mature person! and it can be about bee's if you want it to!:
EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 50
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface,
where you have plenty of room at each side.
Then with a 2.5 kg potato bag in each hand,
extend your arms straight out from your sides,
and hold them there as long as you can.
Try to reach one full minute, and then relax.
Each day you’ll find that you can hold this position
for a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move to 5kg bags.
Then try 10-kg potato bags and then eventually
try to get to where you can lift a 20-kg potato bag
in each hand, and hold your arms straight for
more than a full minute.
After you feel confident at that level,
put a potato in each bag. . .
Engineer or Management
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost.
She reduced altitude, and spotted a man below.
She descended a bit more and shouted:
“Excuse me, can you help me?
I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago,
but I don’t know where I am.”
The man below replied,
You are in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet
above the ground. You are between 51 and 52 degrees North latitude,
and between -2 and -3 degrees West longitude.
“You must be an Engineer”, said the balloonist.
“I am”, replied the man, “how did you know??”
“Well”, answered the balloonist, “everything you have told me is probably
technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information,
and the fact is, I am still lost. Frankly, you have not been much help at all.
If anything, you have delayed my trip by your talk”.
man below responded, “ you must be in Management”. “I am”,
replied the balloonist, “but how did you know?”
“Well”, said the man, “you don’t know where you are, or where you are going.
You have risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air.
You made a promise, which you have no idea how to keep, and you expect
the people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly
the same position you were in, before we met, but now, somehow,
it’s my blooming fault.”
