I agree with what you say, as I think many others here also do..... but when we get told that we are doing it wrong because we leave honey for the bees instead of feeding syrup and we are stupid for doing what we want to do...is somewhat out of order.

It is better that you clear you head before you continue advicing of beginners.

Winter feeding is the most simple job.

Very tough level discussion.
Can you take honey from your hives and sell it?
Can a beginner take honey from a hive and sell it.
Can a beginner take money if he sells honey.

.... Experienced beekeepers quide you in this forum. Don't worry!

I am suprised that as an experienced beekeeper that you need to ask,
However,,,,the answer to all three questions is "yes"

If you feel that I was advising people then its not me that needs to clear my head.

If you think that winter feeding is simple then OK, but pesonally I find it a lot easier just to leave some honey and not have to feed. If other people choose to do the same as me then it is their choice. It is not your position to tell people (regarding feeding) that they are wrong, because it isnt. I am only writing about what I do, and not saying that what you or anybody else does is wrong.

Come on this argument is simply pointless. Give us all a rest now we know Finman makes a living from honey sales and you don't. I leave my bees their 14 x 12 brood box stores but the contents of the supers is mine to extract and sell. It's not a living but the sales income buys beekeeping stuff for the future.

Its not an argument. Its just a discussion with Finman telling people they are wrong.

As you keep saying again and again and again. We get the message!

Also I like my honey and I have targets to meet. Finman I am unlikely to get 100kg this year from my production colony but I aim at half that. Despite your help: sorry.. Not counting ivy, which I may or may not leave them
