I must admit I am not a great lover of honey.

I like to eat a teaspoon from the jar and eat loads when extracting but never eat it on toast etc.

I eat it every morning on my cereals. Don't like sugar much so honey does the trick.

5lbs?????????? a year????

Hell I eat more than that a month, is one very good reason I began to keep bees as I couldn't afford to keep myself in heather.

Where did 5lbs a year come from, i hope people love the stuff, the more the better.

Thats an interesting article poly, maybe i need to change my eating habits.

The kids (7) all have it on porridge every day. Plus the odd cake, plus marinades and sauces, plus toast of course. We get through a jar and a half a week easily, sometimes more = 80 to 100 lbs a year.
Honey was the reason I got into bees.

i top up my 1lb jar 10 to 15 times a year.

i like mine on well done toast and real butter:drool5:

I am with poly hive at least 5lb a month in yogurt, on toast, in coffee occasionally. Love it especially my own.... well you know what I mean.

I never used to eat it. i think partly I didn't properly understand where it came from and that put me off. Whole family eat a lot more now.
