They are really sturdy, square and the handles don't frighten you when you pick them up. Not the cheapest but I tried the cheaper ones and the handles were dreadful.

The 21 litre ones would be on the large size, as it would weigh about 30kg!

I use buckets from Richard for pottery glazes. If you need other sizes/shapes, ask him. I've had several different types.

If you have a local baker you can get empty jam buckets. My local one sold me buckets at 50p a bucket.

A few years ago I bought some from a local baker who made cakes and biscuits.The were old buckets from Rowse - practically gave them away.

I use a jam one to collect apiary wax scrapings etc
