Been running 2 nationals for 3 years now. I plan to build a top bar hive in the next month or two. I will be looking through threads here to find first hand experience about them.

I plan to build a top bar hive in the next month or two.

I'm a bit of an 'alternative' beekeeper and my original plan was for a top bar hive (or few) but I discounted TBH (after much deliberation and having built two of them - and dismantled them !) in favour of a Long Deep Hive with foundationless frames ... so, I've been down the road you intend going but I turned left for a variety of reasons.

The question I have for you is ... what made you think about going down the TBH path ? Just curious ... not in the least bit anti your plan.
