Still investigating the possibility of taking up this hobby.

I have enrolled on a bee keeping course which will take place in the spring, but in the meantime have decided to read up on the hobby, join a few forums and try and find out all about it.

Living on the North East coast may not be the deal place, so I'll have to see what's what.

Willie Bee has always been a nickname, but it seemed a good choice of user name for here. It's the name of my family website too.

Hi Willie Bee.

Welcome.

Great craft, beekeeping. Not without it's anxieties and controversies - as you'll find out if you hang around with us lot.

But the pleasures and rewards are great.

Enjoy!

Hi,

bees do just fine up here, try to get local stock that will be the best way to ensure they survive.

Hi Willy bee :) I'm from sunny middlesbrough :p if the bees here can survive with the smog :D
They will do fine up your way
Just make sure you get a good first colony from a reputable beekeeper
