Hello from Whitley Bay

Just saying hello.

I am a newbie, in fact probably better referred to as a soon to be newbie, at least as far as bee keeping is concerned.

I intend doing a basic course in the spring of 2013, then assuming I don't freak out when holding a frame of bees, I hope to get my first hive shortly afterwards.

Until next year I am learning quite a lot from this very good forum.

I did exactly as you are doing last year and am so far enjoying the beekeeping experience (liberally sprinkled with moments of absolute panic) and at this moment praying the bees will make it through the winter. best of luck - enjoy.
