Sorry for not knowing much about such things but it's the price you pay for being a city dweller although I am a grandson of a market gardener and feel I should know more so any advice is welcome

FWIW our lot waited to see which way the wind was blowing that day.

So did east lancs and the west riding moorland cottages were painted differing colours dependant on which opposing troops were in the area !

Here is often in parks planted mahonia, also privet- Ligustrum vulgare both plants visited by the bees.

This was as You would say "beating around a bush"?
