Sorry for not knowing much about such things but it's the price you pay for being a city dweller although I am a grandson of a market gardener and feel I should know more so any advice is welcome

FWIW our lot waited to see which way the wind was blowing that day.


So did east lancs and the west riding :) moorland cottages were painted differing colours dependant on which opposing troops were in the area !

Here is often in parks planted mahonia, also privet- Ligustrum vulgare both plants visited by the bees.

This was as You would say "beating around a bush"?
