Superb scenery and dramatic skies - what a beautiful place!

Great pics.
I particularly like 724 with the funnel of cloud in the background.

Fantastic album, the work these guys have to do, a fascinating journey with photos,

Fantastic pictures! Can we all come next time?

A question occurs to me- Heather honey sounds tedious stuff to extract. How do you manage it with hundreds of hives?

Great pics would make a great article for Hbka newsletter/new website following on from your apiary visit!

We just have the machinery to cope..............I think we went through this on another thread recently.............Dakota uncapper with conveyors, Limousin wax press for the cappings and chop outs, Ceracell/Boutelje automatic NZ loosener (needles for agitation of the honey), Thomas 72 frame turntable, Ceracell/Boutelje 24D/48S self turning tangential extractor, Thomas sump tank, Thomas Spinomel...............pumps in the system where needed.........and direct then into barrels.

Plant is run by Beata and Stasia, the first of whom has been with us for a few years, and whose boyfriend/partner is one of our beekeepers, and the latters husband ditto.

If a big year and hard to keep up we just put on extra shifts and move Beata onto overall supervision rather than grafting in a team.

The last variable input is time. It can take us until December to be finished.

Response to this never appeared, however it was just to say you would be very welcome to do so, and would do the narrative for you if you wanted, just would be a couple of weeks till I got time.

Thanks for the series of pictures. It all looks astonishingly well organised, and a heck of a lot of hard work.
