quick inspection today and we have a queen who we are concerned about
she was a buckfast nuc from paynes last easter (overwintered so from year before)
she laid superbly and they produced 3 supers of honey etc...but then...late summer/autumn, they tried to supercede her 3 times...(unfortunately) we destroyed each of 3 successive q cells and let them enter winter
today...they have 2-3 frames of BIA, each only 1/3rd full
and
there are some multiple eggs in cells
and...my wife (better eyesight) describes some of the eggs as 'furry/ rather than clean
anyone heard eggs described this way before, or thoughts?
