Phil Chandler 10 hours ago about the Flybe April Fool piece "So it was supposed to be a joke. Really, the least funny thing I have seen in years. Stupid and pointless, and I hope it backfires on both parties involved." CVB

Wow! Rather more foolish to respond like that, than to be an April Fool?

Anybody who's write a book on Beekeeping telling everyone that they've been doing it wrong when they were in their 3rd or 4th year of keeping bees, takes himself far to seriously.
And that's the nicest thing I have to say about P.Chandler

Hey! at 8 a.m on Saturday it was all I had to hand, unfortunately I didn't have the time or equipment to make a hoax mini film.

Hey.....i wasn't casting aspersions on anybody in Particular.
There's an even better one on FB
Beekeeper has lost two hives in Caernarfon and suspects "They were decimated by Asian Hornets"
Makes an alternative to the cold killing the bees, I guess.

The whole post has descended into a feeding frenzy keeping the moderator on her toes all day.

Saw that.. I assume it was a belated April fool (or idiot).

Is she training to be a ballerina? :)

No offence was intended and I apologise to Margaret if any was taken ...

I met Margaret at the CBKA's Bit of a Do last year where she delivered a really excellent lecture on genetics. She is a very entertaining presenter and clearly has a wicked sense of humour to be involved in the Flybe FIBBS joke.

Couldn't tell from your comment if it was tongue in cheek or daggers drawn. Apologies if I came down on you too harshly :)

Indeed. Worth recording the sense of humour failure for posterity, perhaps?

If this Flybe - BBKA intiative is sufficiently successful, perhaps they should consider forming a specialist spinout airline. They could name it after the late ninetheenth century French poet Apollinaire
