Did my first ever table top sale today and despite needing to be pushed into doing it I enjoyed every minute. It was a good starting point for me only three hours long in a community hall almost in sight of some of my bees. There was no great rush of people but despite this managed to sell approx £150 worth. I had a few props that may have helped and knocked up some shelves to help display the honey. The only thing to do now is do another. :hurray:

Lovely looking display of honey, Tom, i like the shelves with the hexagonal supports, sets it off really well.

Thanks John. Pete the hexagons were left over from another job and sitting on a shelf for the past twelve months and thought one day I will find a use for them. I know you will have similar.

Cool

Thanks pargyle I think a few props help and the small WBC is down to ericA also I rather like the honey in different shapes jars and playing around with labels. Only sold about thirty jars but a good number of people said it's for a friend so the gift type jar went down well.

We get about a bit don't we John ;) will probably have it on my blog by the end of the day.

Looks great to me, with clear pricing and a variety of different types of honey and jar sizes. I'm sure you'd do well at the C0nwy Honey Fair, selling alongside 30 other beekeepers. A few prize cards and some pics of your bees are always a good draw.

As per the others, looks damn good, not like a first attempt!
The shelves are brilliant.

And the pricing is perfectly realistic … (as you confirmed for yourself).

I assumed you had a couple of taster jars? I'd say 80% who try it but it!

Thanks, I don't like to over price and think value for money is important the honey is not cheap compared to some parts of the country and about average from my own observations but one or two moan at me for been to cheap but then those people tend to have a small amount to sell.

I was going to do that but never got round to it but will have that sorted when I do another.

Yes,Tom come to Wales next year. I will be there and we could catch up. I'm in London visiting daughter. We took a walk along the Regents canal yesterday and thought of you. Daughter is fed up of her flat mates and now wants to live on a barge.
