How long is a piece of string
Today i made up a dummy board that holds fondant in the side.this was
placed second frame away from brood.I the put a smaller bit of fondant on top frames over the brood. Now when i say brood it's about half a frame with about 2 frames of bees.they have 4 frames to play with in total in this order
Wall of hive >1 frame empty comb >1 frame bee&Brood> 1 frame bees>1 frame empty comb>dummy fondant board.
On top the have 2inch foam above crown board.

Do you think this is about as much as i can do now ?
How long can i leave them before i have to move the dummyboard ?
I want to give them as much free time as pos, so as not to hold them back.

Cheers for any help.

I would not be feeding fondant. Liquid feed is far better for several reasons, IMO.

Solid floor?

Insulation?
