Figuring out which hive is the problem

I currently have 8 hives (including a recent split) and 3 nucs. They are all very close together. For the last few weeks I've been buzzed and sometimes attacked when 10-12m away from the hives.
Some have been requeening, and it has improved a bit recently.
It's hard to figure out which colony is the problem - if anyone has bright ideas how to I'm all ears!

First I would review the extremes (the weakest and the one with the greatest number of supers). If you want to solve the problem of the weakest one, remove a super from the strongest one with everything (bees and honey) and arrange it on the breeding chamber with newspaper (two or three cuts with the knife to make the work easier).

Close all hives one evening. Next morning open them up in turn every few minutes until you are buzzed?

Simple inspect each hive with no gloves. The one with the most stings is the culprit.. (which is in practise what I do: count stings and requeen the worst)

A DIfficult problem. Terrible.

Further thought: if you identify a suspect colony, close it up the next night and next morning in the apiary see if you are buzzed.
