I had about 20lbs of ivy honey this year. It tastes foul and is set hard in the jars. I have never fed honey back to bees before and I am wondering if I can feed this back to my bees like fondant. Family and friends dislike the honey they all remarked how awful the flavour is. I have made a gallon of mead with 4lbs of it, not sure yet how it has turned out. I do not want to through it away - better to feed it back to the hive that produced it.

Hi Mike,
Yep, feed it back to the bees the honey that is not the mead. One of my hives really smelt of Ivy honey today.
